BUPA Approves The London Psychiatry Centre’s rTMS Treatment for Depression
Following a review of the most recent update to NICE Guidelines in April 2012, BUPA has approved The London Psychiatry Centre as providers of rTMS treatment.
The update CG90 identified that there are no major safety concerns with rTMS in the treatment of severe depression, and recommended that rTMS should be a therapeutic (treatment) option for those patients who have not responded to acceptable treatments as part of specialist care team management. The London Psychiatry Centre qualifies as such a team.
TLPC offers sophisticated, evidence based therapies. We follow the most advanced global drug treatment protocols and, having treated over 100 patients with rTMS to date, we have the required specialist rTMS expertise with excellent published and independently audited outcomes.
We are very pleased to announce that BUPA has recognised TLPC and look forward to offering BUPA patients this latest drug and side effect free, long term, effective treatment.
BUPA has agreed to consider any requests for rTMS from The London Psychiatry Centre for treatment resistant depression which will be assessed on a case by case basis.
