Understanding mental health in childhood and adolescence involves recognising its complexity and how it changes over time. Studies show it goes far beyond simply the absence of mental illness. It includes reaching important developmental and emotional milestones, building the appropriate social skills that contribute to positive relationships, and developing resilience to cope with life’s challenges.

In this event, we deep dive into child psychiatry and mental health, consider a case history, and discuss how the multidisciplinary team approach is the answer to a wide range of challenging mental health conditions.
