COVID-19 Update

The London Psychiatry Centre / COVID-19 Update

We would like to reassure you that The London Psychiatry Centre will remain open during the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. All patients will continue to receive the very highest levels of care and attention to detail.

To enable us to continue to supply your healthcare needs, we will be conducting remote consultations through the phone or video, and strongly recommend this where possible to minimise contact and time at the clinic.

PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU HAVE COUGH, FEVER OR DIFFICULTY BREATHING DO NOT COME TO THE CLINIC, SELF ISOLATE FOR 14 DAYS AND CONTACT US AFTER.

How Do Remote Consultations Work?

You can still book an appointment online as usual, through our main office, which remains fully staffed by calling 020 7580 4224 or emailing info@psychiatrycentre.co.uk. You’ll need to specify that you would like a phone or video consultation.

For video consultations please download Skype onto your phone, tablet or computer. Skype is a secure, encrypted video conferencing tool. If you are unable to download this, we are able to arrange an alternative method, for example, FaceTime, or telephone.

One of our secretaries will call you at the time of your consultation to complete payment for the service that you require. You will then be connected with the consultant or therapist you have booked.

As with face-to-face consultations, for new patients you will have up to 60 minutes to discuss any symptoms and issues. Your consultant will offer you advice and recommend treatment. Follow-up consultations will be the usual 20-30 minutes consultation depending on who your consultant is.

A written report will be emailed to you following this consultation, usually within 5 working days after the consultation.

What About Medication?

Your consultant will be able to prescribe medication if required. This prescription can be sent to your local pharmacy from our main office for you to collect from them. We will require the contact details of your pharmacy, which you can find online through a search engine, by calling them directly, or speaking to them when you reach the pharmacy. We are also able to advise on some pharmacies that are able to deliver medication to you at home.

What About Tests?

We will try to reduce tests or defer them for later. However, if a test cannot be delayed, it may be performed at our lab in Wimpole Street. We will send you a request form and let you have the results with any recommendations by mail or phone when available.

What About rTMS?

We are continuing to offer this essential treatment to our patients. The Centre remains fully operational for rTMS treatment. Please rest assured that we have implemented all reasonable precautions in order to protect the health of both patients and staff.

If you have any questions or would like to book a consultation, please call our administration team on 020 7580 4224.
