Frequently asked questions
about booking with The London Psychiatry Centre
Do you have a waiting list? How long will I have to wait to see someone?
We understand that when you reach out for help, you want to be seen as soon as possible. One of the primary benefits of private care at our centre is the absence of a waiting list. In most cases, you can expect to see a practitioner within 3-5 days of your initial enquiry.
Do you offer online appointments?
Yes, we are happy to offer the flexibility of online consultations. However, where viable, our practitioners do prefer to meet new patients face-to-face for their initial assessment to build a stronger personal connection. Please note that certain specialised treatments, such as rTMS (Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation), must be delivered in person at our London centre. Your practitioner will be happy to discuss the best approach for your specific needs.
Do you accept private healthcare insurance?
The London Psychiatry Centre operates as a self-pay service. While we do not bill insurers directly, we provide receipts that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Because every policy is different, we strongly recommend checking your insurer’s specific reimbursement terms before booking your appointment.
How much do appointments cost?
You can find details of the cost of all our consultation types and treatments on our Fees page.
Can you help me in an emergency?
We are not an emergency service. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please call 999 or visit your nearest A&E.
