Neurotherapist – Child Development Specialist
Ane Macedo is an experienced Neurotherapist with a strong academic and clinical foundation in neuroscience, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and cognitive skill development. She is dedicated to providing evidence-based, patient-centred care for children, adolescents and adults, with particular expertise in family trauma, emotional regulation and early childhood development.
Ane holds a Master’s degree in Neuroscience with specialisation in Child Development from PUC University (2023). Her research focused on how early life experiences shape brain architecture, emotional regulation and behaviour – knowledge that forms the foundation of her integrative and developmental approach. She is an accredited member of the British Neuroscience Association (BNA) and the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS).
She gained extensive international clinical experience while working as a therapist in Madrid, where she delivered holistic mental health rehabilitation, supporting clients through preparation, integration and emotional processing phases. Ane collaborated closely with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to long-term emotional and psychological wellbeing.
Since 2023, Ane has worked privately in Richmond, London, providing neurotherapy and CBT to clients presenting with emotional, behavioural and neurodevelopmental difficulties. Her work is strongly informed by her understanding of how childhood trauma impacts brain development and adult mental health. She designs and delivers personalised intervention programmes and is the creator of the Re.align Brain Realignment Protocol, aimed at enhancing emotional resilience, cognitive performance and trauma recovery.
In 2025, Ane began offering advanced neurotherapy services to children and parents at Harley Street, applying cutting-edge, neuroscience-based methods to support individuals experiencing anxiety, emotional blocks, depression and trauma.
Ane’s work has been recognised through multiple honours, including selection as a Fellow in Female Founders Rise 2025 – Cohort 4 for innovation. She is also a two-time recipient of the Top of Mind Professional Award (2022 and 2025), acknowledging her contribution to mental health education through lectures delivered to students in public and private schools. She is currently developing a parent-support application and has been selected by Barclays for dedicated guidance and private mentoring to advance this project.
