Senior Clinical Psychologist
Christina is a clinical psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and the Division of Clinical Psychology of the British Psychological Society. She completed her training at the Institute of Psychiatry at King’s College in London and has been working in the NHS for more than 10 years.
She has extensive experience working with adults with complex and enduring mental health problems including chronic depression, trauma, anxiety disorders, substance misuse and interpersonal functioning difficulties.
During her training and post qualifying, Christina received extensive training in the application of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). She has also received further specialist training in EMDR and Schema Therapy and more recently, in mindfulness-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT). In her clinical practice, Christina adopts an eclectic and flexible approach taking under account clients’ particular needs and therapy goals.
In addition to her clinical psychology training, Christina has also completed a PhD in Health Psychology and has worked with people experiencing psychological difficulties within the context of an existing physical health illness and with people wishing to make changes in their lifestyle and health-related behaviours.
